Everything went beautifully, except that the hotel lounge couldn't hold us all,
and although they put extra service people on, they couldn't keep up with us !
There was a sizeable crowd - lots of noise, lots of old friends not seen in
years, new friends met for the first time. I am sure there will be lots of
people posting stories once they get back home.
The raffle raised $800. It was counted and verified three times, by three
diffferent people, and then today, I handed the entire amount to Linda Kury and
Shirley O'Brien for the AGSRA. So, a great way to spend the evening, and to
do something good for Rescue at the same time...
Thanks so much to our Party Committee - you guys did great !! And, to all who
donated prizes, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU !! Beautiful prizes won by lucky
people. Amazingly, although we buy tickets every year, have never won
anything..... But, there is always next year.
I did bid on, and win, a Telia Fleming Hanks drawing from the Foundation
auction, and two items from the AGSRA Silent Auction - an SV medal and a wolf
pocket knife.
Mo, so sorry you couldn't be there - hopefully next year.... but thank you for
all the work you did !
Getting ready now to head to the Victory Dinner.
