[ SHOWGSD-L ] LAST HOPE GL FUTURITY DONATIONS

Well the Great Lakes Futurity is only a stone's throw away and I am sending out
a final email for any donations for our Chinese Auction to be held on May 4 at
the GSDC of Northern Ohio specialty. I have received some things already and
some people have indicated that they will be bringing things for the table.
Some donations received already or in the mail:
Charms and watches
A GSD head carving made out of wood
5 different doggie baskets
4 different health & beauty baskets
A huge clothes basket filled with tons of cleaning supplies for home and kennel
A gallon of odeban
A musical dog frame
Several braided leather leashes
Children's Dog Books
Jim Shore Collectible German Shepherd Figurine
Distinguished Dobermans in Pittsburgh is donating a huge basket of something
(hope its not a basket of little dobies) *grin*
I can't wait to see what else arrives :-)
Joe Maringo of SPARRO (Southwestern PA Retriever Rescue Organization) and also
a Last Hope Board Member has arranged for Tyler Mountain Water in Pittsburgh to
donate all the bottled water for the weekend WITH LAST HOPE'S LOGO ON IT. At
first we had planned on only donating water for the judge's tables but he
arranged for such a wonderfully huge donation that we can supply the water for
the weekend!!!
Last Hope will also have a small table set up with some Last Hope advertising
materials; T-shirts for sale, pens, pencils, post its, note pads, and calendar
magnets with any donation to the "jar". All of the advertising material has
been donated.
Every penny of every dollar we receive goes for the GSDs. The whole Last Hope
crew is working diligently to use your donations wisely to save as many GSDs as
we can. I thank all of you for your unending support to our cause.....BECAUSE
it is for our breed. We want that "Look of Eagles" to soar no matter how it
fell out of its "nest" and into a pound, tied unmercifully out in the elements,
abused, starved or neglected. We will do all we can, all over the country, to
bring that "Look of the Eagle" back to that GSD.
