LA County Releases Details of Mandatory Spay/Neuter Proposal
BAD, BAD, BAD!! These folks are clueless... do they not read their own
newspapers. This sort of draconian restrictions is EXACTLY why the "black
market" in puppies is so active.
Ginger is so spot on here...In the 1st place this will be unenforceable as
there aren't enough ACO's. No doubt the ARO's will establish their "Breed
Posse's" that will scour the papers for puppies for sale. They will come out
under the pretense of wanting a puppy and then turn over all of the info
they acquire to Animal Control.
Irresponsible Pet Owners will sink below the radar even more. More and more
people that had registered their dogs in the past will cease to do so and AC
funds will plummet.
If they were to spend a few dollars from each fee to educate our children
from K thru 12 they'd be graduating class after class of responsible pet
owners. Common sensical approach you say? Indeed it is but never confuse and
ARO with the term...it's an oxymoron to use both in a sentence.
