[ SHOWGSD-L ] Kuranda Beds

Hello Fellow Listers
Weeping Willow has just committed to two more German Shepherds. One is a
14 year old girl who has had a very tough life and ended up in a rural
shelter that is not going to put her up for adoption and they called us to see
if we could give her comfort during the end of her life. She will be here
within a week.
The next boy coming in is around 8 years old that had a severe necrotic
injury to his leg from a chain. The owners are in severe financial straits
and were unable to care for him and took him to a shelter for possible
euthanasia....a very sad story....Pat Winters, our foster home in WV, pulled
this boy for us; WW took over the medical care for him. His leg had to be
amputated. He will be coming here when he is on the road to recovery from
"Nurse Pat Winters". Thank you Last Hope Safe Haven for the donation towards
his surgery for the amputation from the Syd Mailburg Memorial Fund.
We are in need of two more LARGE kuranda beds for these new arrivals. The
seniors here love the ones that some of the list members donated several
months back but they won't give their beds up for any new arrivals
*grin*....we are again asking for your generosity if possible. Thank you for
helping these German Shepherds at Weeping Willow 2nd Chance German Shepherd
Sanctuary.
