[ SHOWGSD-L ] Knowing your judges

But isn't it all about knowing your judges...that is a major aspect of
showing your dogs and if the owner is not out there enough to know which judges
have what personal preferences, then the handler should be in the know.
All of us have our preferences as to color (and other things...), and judges
are "us" !
Some like sables, some like blacks, some like bi-colors and some like a
rich pigmented black and tan...I know I have my personal likes and dislikes,
and I know all of you have yours...Over the years, we all have collected a
mental list of the likes and dislikes of various judges; armed with that
knowledge you pick and choose which judges to show under..
I have no problem with a judges' personal preferences as long as they judge
to the standard and then make a decision between two good dogs based on
his/her preference...just adding my opinion based on my experience...
