In the country, shooting these animals up close to your house is self defense.
Skunks are the largest carrier of rabies
Rats and Mice love electrical wiring(causing fires) and
attic insulation - plus they will chew any woodwork/plastic/finished
surfaces causing thousands in damage each year.
On the good side are:
Snakes that eat rats and other vermin---not rattle snakes
Garden Spiders
As to the coyotes, I prefer them in the woods and like Sally we have a truce.
