Unfortunately, my husband and I have never had children, so we send our pups
to "camp" with a family who does have children running in out of the house
all day long. After only a couple weeks, our doggies come back more
socialized than I could ever get them, living here in our quiet secluded
"enclave" in the woods.

The dogs no longer get to spend time with kids which was their favorite
thing to do.
Never owned a dog that couldn't tell what time the School bus was due.
They knew
when it was due and would begin to alert and listen......and they loved
hearing the kids
come up the road and cried in anticipation. I miss that.

All my grandkids love the dogs and respect them. And I even have one son
with a german shepherd. He tells me that's the best dog they ever had.
All I do
is scratch my head and think where has he been when he was growing up. I
guess experience is the best teacher.
