First I would like to say that Terry always does a wonderful job. So thank
you Terry!!!!
I have a jr. that shows every chance he gets and always has a ton of
support.
With Jr.'s first that puts the 6-9 class in the ready ring and most people
ringside.
So he not only has the support of the ringside crowd but the support of the
professional
handlers. Besides most people have their dogs ready since they are first.
My thought with Jr.'s after winners dog is that the Jr.'s may not get as
much support.
Reasons being; Lunch break and everyone trying to get their bitches ready to
show. As we
all know we are usually grooming bitches during lunch, and sometimes before.
Just my 2 cents from a jr.'s mother....

Out here in the west, ( which is west of the Rockie's ;0) the juniors
show first and they do get a big hand from the people at ring side. I try
to get a good gating shot of them and announce the show on the Right Dog
site with the first pictures being the juniors. My way of thanking the
juniors and the parents that bring them. I sure wish we hand a scholarship
fund set up in Bob Penny's name for junior handlers Bob would have loved
that. THAT IS A NOT SO SUBTLE HINT.

However, this weekend was very special for Nicky and I because Kerianne
Degen with the red hair and bouncy curls made her debut into Junior Handling
and she loved it. Kerianne showed PAM CH Carousel Farms Caisson MX MXJ TD PT
RN NF TC and with all those titles she is very well trained but due to her
recent Agility venue she was ready to turn, jump, weave, and run. Kerianne
had her hands full and she did a wonderful job. As I stood there clapping,
Pat Brown asked me my connection and I told her "we bred her", well of
course I was talking about Cassie but then I quickly added that we consider
ourselves adopted Grandparents because Nicky and I never will forget going
to the hospital to meet the brand new Kerianne Degen and it thrills us to
watch her become such a fine young Junior Handler.
We were very proud and it was also wonderful when Elizabeth Stiefferman who
won Best Junior both days came up to Kerianne and told her she would be very
happy to help her. The kids know how to play fair, us adults could take a
lesson.
