[ SHOWGSD-L ] Kerianne Degen

The GSDC of Central Indiana held Junior Showmanship immediately following
Winners/Reserve Winners Dog giving more people the chance to watch these
youngsters. Wish there was a way to make it mandatory for everyone to watch
and applaud the future of our Breed.
However, this weekend was very special for Nicky and I because Kerianne Degen
with the red hair and bouncy curls made her debut into Junior Handling and she
loved it. Kerianne showed PAM CH Carousel Farms Caisson MX MXJ TD PT RN NF TC
and with all those titles she is very well trained but due to her recent
Agility venue she was ready to turn, jump, weave, and run. Kerianne had her
hands full and she did a wonderful job. As I stood there clapping, Pat Brown
asked me my connection and I told her "we bred her", well of course I was
talking about Cassie but then I quickly added that we consider ourselves
adopted Grandparents because Nicky and I never will forget going to the
hospital to meet the brand new Kerianne Degen and it thrills us to watch her
become such a fine young Junior Handler.
We were very proud and it was also wonderful when Elizabeth Stiefferman who won
Best Junior both days came up to Kerianne and told her she would be very happy
to help her. The kids know how to play fair, us adults could take a lesson.
