I am considering keeping 2 pups back from my litter. My reasoning is that my
bitch just had her first litter; will be 6; and had a tough whelp. So, I am
leaning towards spaying her and finishing the rest of her PAM requirements. I'm
thinking of keeping 2 pups so I have a back up just in case one doesn't get out
or some other disaster happens....
But, everything I read said keeping 2 pups at the same time is disasterous.
So, my question is...for those breeders that do not kennel....have you had
success keeping back two puppies at the same time? Any challenges?
They will be primarily performance dogs when mature and aimed at National level
competition.
