There is little worse than a reformed drunk, someone who quit smoking or
who have stopped showing dogs. I am tired or hearing about the sins of
demon rum, how dangerous smoking is, and how terrible the dog show ring is with
dishonest judges, crooked handlers, and spooks for dogs.
The shows are great. Our dogs improve with each litter and every year.
The judges are honest and hard working and the exhibitors are my friends.
If you don't show in conformation, I respect that you have a right to
speak out, but maybe you should start by saying you don't compete, so this is
just a biased opinion. Then we who remain in the ring, can give it the
attention it deserves. I see the most bitching by those who no longer show.
We who show are here for a reason. We love the breed.
That says it all.
