Well, this happens every year. You can't make everyone happy. It's a fact of
life.
That said, I like the rotating Nationals. Some venues are better than others.
Some I just can't make it to right now. But, when I do go, I get to see
another area of our great country. I get to meet new people and meet people I
have only known before on this List and get to see folks I haven't seen in
awhile. Not to mention the dogs <VBG>
If I can make it to any given venue, I wil be there. I sure won't let the
naysayers change my mind. Always up for an adventure :-)
Have fun. I can't be there this year but am so looking forward to the winners,
postings and news from the Nationals.

We have read most of the posts regarding this years National in Utah and are
rying very hard to keep an open mind and spirits up but here are our concerns
rom a "little persons perspective"; seems like every year we are faced with
he same type of bantering about how the National is being run, changes that
hould be made, and what quality or lack there of will be presented this year.
ome of the suggestions and concerns appear very valid. My question is why
ren't these concerns and suggestions presented to the Board at the Board
eetings or at the very least emailed to them or even phone call them? We have
Board Member in our area, (Chicago) that is very good about listening,
eturning calls, and dialoguing about anything GSD related. Kudos to Gary S.
or being there if we want to discuss things. I believe that people have the
nswers and wisdom to come up with creative and rational ideas that will enhance
he National. But sometimes I think that the spirit used o
n the LIST is not one of helping our breed but rather bashing our breed. There
s no doubt that many people are working behind the scenes to put on a wonderful
ational. There are also many people who are on the Board that want this to
ucceed. Seems like we all should want this to work. It is in motion now and
e really need to support the Utah National or move on and allow those of us who
ave saved and scrimped all year, put other parts of our life on hold, and who
re so excited about going can hardly think about anything else, enjoy the
OMENTS! I am really tired of hearing about the quality or lack thereof,
umbers or lack of dogs entered, white wall or no wall, etc....We like many that
re entered have done the work with our dogs, made plans, saved vacation time,
ot our team together, contacted our friends and are ready to compete at the
ATIONAL under the esteemed judges that have been selected. We are excited
bout traveling to an area that we would probably
NEVER go to if it were not for this GSD NATIONAL. It will be a long drive but
e chose to do it. We are taking our old friends and new friends both old and
oung and of course middle aged! Our spirits are high, our hopes are huge and
e are READY! Just remember when you say things about this years National that
ou are also sending messages to us little people that maybe we are not worthy
r there is no competition or that this is just a joke! WE are SERIOUS and WE
re going to COMPETE and HAVE FUN no matter what you say or insinuate. We want
o be part of the SOLUTION rather than part of the Problems. GOOD LUCK to ALL
