[ SHOWGSD-L ] Judging..... another perspective some judges the worst

I go to several dog shows every year.... and I look at several litters a
year with some very knowledgeable people. What I see is: that even though
some
judges like different dogs than I like MOST of them are very honest in their
opinions. When I evaluate dogs I often have a different pick than my peers
and mentors. Just because I like a different dog than they do shouldn't make
us enemies.
The great majority of the time, the judge does a decent job (in my opinion).
And I seldom think they are dishonest. Occasionally, I think they just
don't know the difference and I decide not to show to them again. I try and
do
that quietly and with little fuss....Occasionally that hasn't happened and I
have gotten angry because a judge placed my dog lower than I thought he or she
should and on all but one of those occasions I was WRONG! The judge , in
retrospect, did a fine job and it was me who was wrong.
The one quip that I have is that, quite often, when someone is really making
a stir at the dog show about the judging... it is another JUDGE causing the
problem It seems that ,as humans, we often want others to do for us the
very thing we hate when they do it for others We want them to put up our dog
because we are friends... or because he needs these points to finish... or
because our dog was the best YESTERDAY!!!! And judges..... many of you are
among the worst! (have on my flame proof boxers... LOL)
