Interesting thread as at the show this week-end I recalled a conversation I
had with Jack Reed about 6 years ago, and he and I talked some about it. He
claimed that he could finish a black faster than any other color all other
things being equal. Since then I have always tried to pay some extra
attention when an all black is in the ring and I must say that from my
perspective out side of the ring I seem to have trouble "seeing" when a
black is moving. But that obviously does not apply to the Judges inside the
ring who get to put their hands on the dog as far as Jack could tell, as he
preferred showing all blacks. And he has had some very nice all black dogs &
bitches through the years.
