Do you really think someone nominated and voted in as the Specials judge
for the U.S. National would want to have someone flown in from the S.V.
to "take the politics out" of his or her Judging abilities????????
Now think about that..............<G>
Also...if any of us voted for the Judge that got the assignment because we
liked their judging capabilities do you think WE would want another Judge
to be flown in from the S.V. and to have as much control and 'say' over
the dogs as the one we voted for???????

I was wondering if the GSDCA ever had a SV judge or a Foreign judge from some
other country judge alongside the Specialty judge? That would kind of take
politics out of it because the SV or Foreign judge probably wouldn't be
following the advertising and such but would still know correct German Shepherd
type. The dogs could be individually ranked by the judges and the scores
combined to determine placings? Just a thought....
I only mention it as I remember when I was showing Arabians and the sport horse
division was starting. All the owners paid big bucks to the handlers ( as
always) to get the handler's face out there in the ring. But, the show chairs
started bringing in outside sport horse judges who were not Arabian judges and
didn't know one person from the next but knew proper structure and movement. I
had a great year that year at the shows! ð
