Good evening listers,
I'm the elected judge for bitches at the US National. Normally I should
judge junior showmanship and I would love to judge Junior but AKC doesn't
accept that I judge junior in USA. I'm a CKC approved judge (0363) and a AKC
visiting judge (6706). There is no license for judging junior in Canada and
AKC will not give me approval for a non approval class in Canada.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience but not judging Junior at the USA National
is not my choice but AKC choice.

I find this sad. Do you know what it takes to be approved to judge
juniors,
you have to ask for it. AKC will approve any judge who asks for juniors.
I
find it appalling that people are wanting to judge the National, but don't
want to take the time to judge juniors. I frequently hear...O I just don't
want to hurt anyone's feelings. That is a crock! Perhaps the parent club
should stipulate to judges who want to be nominated to judge the national
that
they are required to do juniors if asked. I'll bet more would suddenly
care
then.
