Propylene glycol is the carrier for ivermectin (to dilute to 0.36 or 1%
solution). Nothing to worry about— that company just chooses to list the
carrier/preservative that is being used.
Everyone reading this more than likely has had some (propylene glycol) in
the past week too. ;)
And if he has fear about toxicity.... ethylene glycol is antifreeze, and a
primary diol. Propylene glycol is a food/medical preservative, has one more
carbon and three more hydrogens, and is a primary/secondary geminal diol.

True....... I didn't bother to clarify since Ivermectin is ONLY used for
Heartworm prevention ..... for dogs.
ALTHOUGH......some Vets are utilizing it for Demodectic mange. <G>

Safegard is a great product, effective for a great many parasites , but
does nothing, nothing for Heartworm.

I would advise him to send it back and get Safeguard. 1 ML. per 5 lbs. for
3 days and repeat in 10 days.
