As to my usual caveat.... if they can think of a way, they are thinking of it.
unfortunately. I think of the (expletive) vet who turned in her client because
she thought it should have been killed because it was old and ill, and they
took the dog home to die in their arms..... their choice.

Boy, I hate to be a downer (REALLY!), but if an Animal Control person came
to your kennel/house and was stringent on the rules, they would cite you for
using this. (And believe me, I did and would). There have now been
multiple citations and court judgements for people using very good
alternatives for their dogs, but not vet prescribed.
My suggestion would be to get a vet's note (?Px?) for the alternative meds.
This is not a nice world out there at times.
