...It is supposed to be a fund raiser for fellow-listers in need. I am
interested in seeing that the auction benefits the needy - not the bargain
hunters. The point of the auction was not to provide bargains to owners of the
bitches (or was it?).
I'd much rather see the stud dog owners all volunteer to donate a percentage of
their next stud fee to the cause and not have an auction at all. I'd be pretty
unhappy if my stud dog went for only 10% of his normal stud fee at a charitable
auction. Charity means opening up your pockets and being generous - not
bargain hunting.
