Whether I agree or not, from an environmentlal standpoint I can understand this one. There are so many Iguanas being abandoned now than can be rehomed. There are VERY few rescues that focus primarily on these guys when they grow to four, sometimes five, feet long.  The ones you see in the movies are babies becasue of ease of handling. They carry salmanella and spread it to household members....... The "walking catfish" released into area lakes by well meaning but uneducated owners in Florida have decimated native game fish and are steadily moving north. Russian boars were imported for hunters. They now interbreed with wild hogs and do EXTREME damage to farmland and pasture to say nothing of eating small domestic farm animals all over the south. Raccoons were moved in the late 60s/early 70's from Florida to the DC area [Virginia hunt clubs] for coon hunters to train and hunt their dogs without travelling great distances. Results... the larget rabies outbreak in history and its STILL GOING ON. Rabies has spread from the DC area south into the Carolinas and north Georgia and can be tracked on annual reports. It has also spread north into New York City........ Coyotes were transported from south Texas to North Georgia for a hunt club. We now have Coyotes living in residential neighborhoods all over metro Atlanta and decimating cats and small dogs..... as well as native species.   And another influx of rabies...... KILLER BEES..... I rest my case!! SOMEONE needs to be reviewing what animals are being imported/relocated AND insuring they are not released to the wild when they grow to a size that is not easily managed, become too much trouble, or spread disease. Species develop in a given area and adapt to survive with minumal damage. Nonnative species destroy the environment and native species.  This one I would support.......
