the jail to see a client, and then home.
The board voted to close the meeting, then met in closed session. The Hunte
matter has been resolved to the satisfaction of both sides. Mr. Hunte is not a
member of the GSDCA.
The board worked hard together to find a solution. With the work of our
president and the rest of the board they did so, without anyone getting sued,
and with releases from both parties. It was great to see all the hard work Lew
did, and the support of our board to reach this conclusion.
The closed meeting excluded all others, including the attorneys. By the time of
the meeting I had six clients on the board, but it was not necessary for me to
do anything. I went outside and sat down with the New York attorney Nancy
Gutenberg. I found her to be intersting, bright, a bit intense, and very
attractive. She had worked hard to find a solution with Hunte's attorney, and a
great deal of negotiations went into it. She and I spoke about many things, and
I enjoyed talking to her. In the end, an agreement was reached, and no one had
to sue or attack to reach that resolution. She was at the meeting to answer any
questions that the board might have, but she spent most of last night doing
that. Today, the board discussed it in debth, and reached a consensis that
allowed this result.
It was great to see my friends, and to watch our hard working board protect our
club. Gary thanked the board, and was a key player. Wayne Davis made a very
interesting presentation of the WDA program, it is going to be fun. Cindy
talked about the stars who have German shepherd and had some great ideas for
the nationals.
I got to spend some time with Margy and Stewart, who is a real kick. I talked
to Cindy, and also Susan, who is doing so well with the Review. I did see Don
Knight and Peggy at the meeting, and also Molly, and so many others. Molly took
Dania and me back to the airport, (we flew into the wrong airport) and that
saved a $90.00 cab ride.
I had dinner with Gail Hardcastle, Margy, Stewart, Molly, Cindi, and a couple
of others, (sorry, I am exhausted),last night and enjoyed it all but the ride
back. Don't ask.
I was not needed, but it was fun to be there. I was proud of our board and each
of the members. Now we can move on to other things.
