Sometimes we had rice with milk and a little cinnamon and sugar. Sometimes we had bread and gravy. Loved both as a kid! Sometimes now Tedi makes fun of me, as one of my favorite foods is a dish my Mother used to make. She took hamburger buns, cut them open, and mixed hamburger with catsup, mustard, salt and pepper, and spread it very very thin on the buns. Then she put them in the broiler and cooked them until the edges were crisp. I love it still. Of course with about a dollar you can feed four. Evan L.
