There are so many breeds that I used to judge at ARBA that are now AKC. One of the advantages of judging ARBA is that in a weekend you do all breeds, all groups and one Best In Show. You are allowed to take the standard with you in the ring and consult it during the judging. That can be a great help. I know that Ken Tank judge, so did Twyla Minor. It makes it a lot easier to walk into the shepherd ring. There we have just one standard to remember, instead of 250. After having judged ARBA for years I am not confident to judge those dogs without having a standard to review.
