Daytona was a sewer, and the facilities not fabulous. Daytona was hard to
get to, and the hotels were less than fabulous. Grooming areas, crowded,
stressful, non-secure. I cannot imagine EVER holding a national there

I loved Daytona. Every morning I waited for Rita to meet me on the beach to
go for a run. Every morning I watched the sunrise come up, alone. Then I ran
by myself, and loved it.
The Bike week the following week brought an interesting crowd to the hotel,
and I walked to the arena from my hotel every day. I walked out the back to
the beach each evening and had some fun meals at some funky restaurants.
I got to walk, (read he walked, I ran) with Dave Rinke down the beach one
evening. I loved to cook out the Frank and Chris put on for everyone, and
also
the sunsets, the cool breezes and the beach. On top of the great dog show I
enjoyed each day and had a great time overall.
I can't think of a single national that I have not enjoyed. 82 in Ohio was
maybe the most fun, however. Perry all seem to be the same. Some, however,
do tend to fade in my memory.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
