I've been a member of this club for over 30 years , there have been times
when I did not re-new ( alimony and child support limits your discretionary
funds). for the majority of this time the board has been controlled by the
same few people! The President in 1988 is presently a board member and
that'sjust one example. We've had several controversial issues during the
past several years and that's not necessarily unusual. Last year we had the
World games a few years ago it was Hunt Gate, then Marjorie Gate ( never did
find out what happened to that one) Today it's White dog Blue-liver Long
coatdog. Now don't get me wrong cuz all organizations with humans have
conflicting issues and opinions on matters involving the well-being of the
organization . The policies in our club basically come from the same small
group of individuals! This is why congress is all @&$:; up.... Power
corrupts.... And I am not saying our board is corrupt, I respect them all!
Just saying I believe our club would be healthier if the "gene pool" was
increased! I'd love to see Ruth, both Kathy's, Penny,Stormy, Tedi ,Ben
,Sheila, Christine, Linda, Cyndy, Cindi, Liz ,Dave ( yes I know he served
before but not 10 years) and there are many others. No disrespect for the
board members who have served for more than 10 years I just think new
blood,new ideas are the way we need to go..... Notice I did NOT use the L
