I think many of his techniques work well, (touching the dog to get their attention, no hollering and screaming), and I have to agree, a stable pack can make a normal dog out of a wack-a-do, but you have to remember, "we" aren't all that keen on letting a scuffle happen; we want to show these dogs! Also, he's working with spayed and neutered dogs (BIG difference for the whole pack thing!) and he's condensing quite a bit into 20 minute segments. I recommend his book to puppy people; the whole "leadership" thing IMO is sorely lacking in a lot of households! And I don't see anything wrong with enforcing exercise, discipline THEN affection. How many times do we see a dog reduced to a psychotic mess because they've been treated like a spoiled child with no exercise or discipline at all?
