Hi Cyndy
I have worked in insurance for over 30 years with the last roughly 20 in
what is know as Excess & Surplus Lines.. This would be the tough classes of
business, non standard type including but not limited to D & O...
Without reading the policy I could not answer that question. Virtually no
policy covers illegal acts.... Most do not cover intentional acts... A lot
depends on the situation and since I don't know all the details and have not
read the policy I would not be able to answer your question. Nor should anyone
else who does not have the information.
In some lines of insurance basic forms are standard while in others they are
not. I find that Directors and Officers as well as Errors and omission
insurance are generally not standard policy forms. At least from my end of
the
business which is again the "More Unique" out of the ordinary classes of
business.
