[ SHOWGSD-L ] Inexpensive dog food

Our local sheriff's department is taking a convoy of pet food, horse feed, etc.
up to Mississippi next Thrusday. My sister and I are meeting one of the folks
who's participating in the convoy next Wednesday at PetSmart where she'll pick
up our donations.
In my opinion, the dogs need food in their bellies, and I feel donating an
inexpensive food is going to help more dogs than if I donate less of a premium
brand. What is the best quality, low price food, I can send up there? Because
of the enormous vet bills I've incurred the past month I can't spend a lot, but
want to make sure I get the most bang for my buck for these poor creatures.
