Can anyone please point me in the right direction to
find information on imprinting stages of a dog,
preferably the GSD? I am looking for a good reference,
either a book that lists them all out or a website.
Something that is specific i.e. 9 weeks fear
imprinting stage one, bite inhabition stage, flight
stage, and so forth.
Two good books are "Genetics and the Social Behavior of the Dog, The Classic
Study", by John Paul Scott and John L. Fuller and "Dog Behavior, Why Dogs Do
What They Do" by Dr. Ian Dunbar. The one by Scott & Fuller is more
technical.
