Carolyn's use of the word important in all CAPS is the understatement of the
year. We had all better realize just how IMPORTANT the New Illustrated
Standard is and we had all better have the chance to review it.
Lana, Chair of the NIS Project sent us an email telling the Board we would
have the latest version in our mailbox by Tuesday, so I would expect Tuesday
evening and Wednesday we should spend reading every word and looking at every
picture. Then write down all your comments and send them back to Lana.
Ginny told us that it is hard to please 18 people (the Board) let alone 4000
members. However, we MUST allow the membership as well as the Board to have
input on the NIS because although we may not please everyone, we MUST please a
majority because the New Illustrated Standard is VERY IMPORTANT and it should
be around for many, many years.
Lana had plans to place the NIS behind the wall on the GSDCA web site so you
can ask her if that is going to happen. Maybe after the changes and
suggestions come in from the Board? But ask Lana, she is the Chair on this
project.
So, to Carolyn and others who have written the Board and the List; thank you
for taking the time to write and for being interested in the New Illustrated
Standard. We do read mail and listen to the membership, remember it is YOUR
club and YOUR Standard.
