Hello all
In British Columbia, mail is getting through, but not quickly - an obedience
entry that was postmarked May 20th just arrived at the Show Secretary's home
on Friday, June 10th.
If anyone sends entries by mail please email me to let me know to expect
something in the mail and I can be on the lookout for it. You will be
notified immediately upon receipt of all entries.
The BC German Shepherd Dog Club is holding their specialty show the day
before the Canadian National, Thursday, September 8th, with Karen Hynek as
Judge, at the same venue, and there is $1,500.00 in prize money with the
breakdown as follows: Best of Breed $500.00; Best of Opposite Sex $300.00,
Best Puppy $300.00, Winners Male, Winners Female, Reserve Winners Male &
Female will all receive $100.00. This not only gives you a chance at some
money, but the opportunity to work the ring in preparation for the Canadian
National.
The Canadian National is on Friday, September 9th and Saturday, September
10th, 2 All Breed obedience Trials on Thursday, September 8th, the
Futurity/Maturity Finals on September 8th, and 2 All Breed Obedience Trials
on Friday, September 9th.
There is RV Parking at the site, reservations must be made in advance as
there are limited spaces.

Also, have not heard if the postal strike is still on....someone from "up
there" can you answer on that one??
If it runs long you may have to be sure to use an entry service.
I remember years back AFTER they got started again, it took 3 weeks for a
letter to come from London to my home (38 miles) ........ things pile
up quickly and takes forever to sort them out.
