Like many people who participate in dog performance sports, I have two or three dogs at a time. They live in the house; they sleep in the bedroom. I love UKC -- their obedience is my favorite performance venue! But AKC registration is very important to me as well. I register my dogs with AKC, UKC, NADAC and CPE to do obedience and agility. We've also done rally with AKC. Without AKC registration I'd be missing a lot of nearby trials. Yes, I could ILP the dog, but would have to spay or neuter earlier than I choose in order to compete. For those reasons, I probably would pass on a litter that wasn't AKC registerable. I'd be more likely to go with a rescue dog in that case. - Cheryl May, Manhattan, Kansas UAGI Andaka-Zederland Time Travel, CD, NAP, RN, TC, HIC, NAC (6 years) UCD UAGI Andaka-Zederland Wildatheart, CD, RN (other titles in progress) (2 years) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
