I have a great time at every dog show, love to go to the nationals, and
enjoy the puppies every evening when I get home. I have a great house dog, one
out in the run that can be shown, a stud dog that looks proud to me, and some
puppies I am watching grow.
If this were not fun, why do it? Everything in life has its' down side, but
showing dogs is just great fun and provides rewards in every aspect. No one
has to do it, and it sure is easy to avoid. It isn't like drugs, sex, or rock
and roll, where it is a necessary part of everyday life. If you don't want
to be involved in showing dogs, don't. No one will even yell at you.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
