This is an interesting point Carolyn. A few years back there were some
serious "gray areas" at the futurities. The GSDC of C instituted some
further rules to prevent the issue's from occurring. The CKC covers gray
areas,
but not a certain month rule on handlers. So, unfortunately, no
rule....what can you do BUT, something that came up involving an AKC judge
came to
mind on this.
Although the CKC and AKC don't handshake, on this particular issue, the
judge was US in Canada and when AKC was asked about a situation, their
response was "we expect the judge to follow the rules for them to judge in the
country they are licensed in".
If someone were concerned enough, a complaint could be sent to AKC to say
the judge did not follow the rules of their permit. AKC would not take an
action, but perhaps give a warning for the lack of addressing an
impropriety.
