Dear GSDCA members,
All the election materials were sent to the Election Services in New York by
August 23, 2007. At that same time AKC sent me approval for the by-laws
changes the committee had been working on. It was agreed it would be good to
get these changes out to the membership with this election so a slight delay
was imposed to allow the Election Services time to work with their graphics
department and print up the by-laws changes. To include them in the
ballots.
The ballots were mailed on September 11, 2007. From New York. You will all
be receiving them very soon. You will all have plenty of time to send them
back to the Election Services to have YOUR vote counted. There may still be
a problem with some in Canada due to their very slow way of delivering the
mail. I am very sorry for that but not sure what the solution is to rectify
this. Bill Pfeiffer has suggested electronic voting but AKC says no. Maybe
that is a good thing considering the uproar over National electronic voting.
Please be patient and when you get your ballot, vote at once and send it
back.
