We did not vote our board to judge the national. That is for the  person we 
elect to judge. I would not want our board or anyone else to tell the  judge 
what they must do.
 
I want to thank Michel, Cappy and Helen for doing what they felt was the  
right thing  to do. Each of them selected the best that they saw, and that  is 
what we asked them to do.  If you didn't like the procedure used, then  next 
time don't vote for that person.
 
I talked to Helen before she began to judge, and  a few times while  she was 
doing it.  She worked hard to do what she believed was the best  thing to do.  
I know she used a procedure that some didn't like, but I  thought she took 
great pains to select the best in the ring.  I admire her  for doing that, 
thank 
her for her dedication, and respect her for her  opinions.
 
When you, or I are voted to judge, then we can decide how to do it.   What 
our judges do is important, and we should thank them. We do have the right  to 
criticize them, but let's remember how hard they work for us.
 
We pay them nothing, and we get their best efforts.  That should be  enough.  
I did not see anything in the Select group that wasn't top  quality.
