Thanks Carol,
Too often people just immediately jump to the conclusion that nothing is being
done if they were not in on the planning. But we elect people to work on our
behalf and we need to trust that they are. And if they need help, we need to be
willing to step up and help. It is our club and it is up to all of us to make
it
work. Meanwhile, I am pretty confident that they will do their best and make us
proud of this international event.

From being at the board meetings - yes, there is a plan. Many people HAVE
been working VERY hard on this. Bill, Nancy, Dean just the first that
come to mind. Tish also. Tom Mesdag. He is helping line up WDA members to
work also. Many others are involved in the planning also. 100's of man
hours went into selecting a site.
Income has been projected and expenses have been projected. We cold make
a GREAT DEAL OF MONEY. People are considering the needs of many, many
Europeans who will come. Streaming Video is being planned on an Inter nation
basis - Something that is a HUGE DEAL in Europe already. Major Sponsor
ships are in the works.
I sat in on a meeting with Carlos, who is the head of the WDA World Team
for us. (Months ago) He told Tish and other board members what Europeans
Expected in a site and they listened. I have pictures of the select site
and it sure looks GREAT to me. I think it will fit the bill exactly.
Of course there are guarantees on anything. But I do assure you, this is
being taken seriously and I
recommend that as many people as possible start planning to accrue
vacation to attend. This is a HUGE event in the world of our beloved breed.
I
think everyone would be very excited to be able to see this showcase of GSD
skills without having to spend the money of going abroad.
I guarantee it will be the experience of a lifetime.
