I've already posted on this... And privately,I know there were
members who simply could not attend. I heard from some of them and
SURE do understand! Somebody suggested that members did not attend
because they felt they would/could not make a difference. Maybe not,
but I felt I made a small difference, and I am certainly a "little
guy" in the realm of things. I think that those who mingled with the
Board Members, got to know them, saw them at work, went away with a
different perspective than they may have had the day before.
Maybe not better or worse (LOL), but at least different! Watching the
interaction is educating, listening how they arrive at the voting
stage is educating. Even listening to what may seem as useless
discussion over $2 is good to know! We've all been there in our own
organizations and committees.
