Colleen,
Wow! You have some issues! You are on a List of primarily show dog breeders
and owners. These are some very dedicated people. They are quick to pick up
a cause that concerns our Breed. Many don't have the time, space or even
geographic location to have "hands on" dealings with fosters and rescues.Â
Sometimes, money and support is all they can offer.  I commend people like
Dawn, who can do her rescue work. I couldn't do it. I would have a back
yard full of rescued dogs. That wouldn't be a bad thing but it would rule
out anything I wanted to do to improve our breed and prevent future shelter
dogs. One must make a decision on what they can and want to do. I have
had 2 rescued GSD's that I have loved and have been my best buddies. I
wouldn't change that for the world. My curent plan does not allow for more
"pets."Â I can't foster because I know that with a GSD, once you foster a
broken dog, you will not give that dog up. But, I will donate money, food,
crates, whatever I have, to help other dogs when needed.Â
Will I take a dog back from one of my breedings? YES! I have and will
make the room to take any one of my pups back. I will also work with any
owner to place that dog immediately, if possible, so he or she can go
directly to a new forever home. I think most breeders would do the same, as I
have seen such issues on the List, in the past.Â
Collen, you may not agree with what Evan said, but what he wrote and what he
believes may be different things. He was relating a story. But, to slam
him, without knowing him, is wrong. I thought this List was past the personal
attacks. I guess not.  Â

ometimes those that are wrapped up in careers and numbers, forget the
ndividual. The "soul" of the argument is lost and gone.
It becomes a "I win" and "you lose". Especially in court.

That is an extremely painful and LONG way to die. That is 7-10 minutes of

I wonder if you foster dogs for rescue, or sponsor, or partake in any rescue
enue hands on. Besides donating money.
It's easy to give money. But do you actually partake in the "nitty gritty". Or,

And can I assume you would take in any dog from your line that was needing to
est till he found a home? Or pay for boarding?And Veterinary help?
And hell, I guess I ask this of everyone. Would you? Do you?
