Thank you to everyone who replied to me. A lot of you seemed to think that
even though Norman has not lived here in seven years, I am STILL his person and
they never forget that. You have made me feel better about it.

I had a Harley son stay with me for a week and a half while his owner was in
Florida over the holidays. His name is Norman. Now Norman has not lived here
in seven years. He is eight years old......Nichole's litter brother. When they
got here and Norman saw me he was so excited and happy he was jumping all over
me and whining like they do when they are really happy. He came into my house
and acted like he had never left.....like he had just been out for a walk.Â
Okay.....his visit went fine. His owner comes to pick him up and Norman just
wags his tail a little. He really was not all that happy to see his owner.Â
When I saw that I wanted to keep him but of course I could not do that because
he is not mine. Now I know that the dog is well taken care of and NOT abused.
What do some of you think about a dog not being happy to see his own master
when we all know that a German Shepherd will attach themselves to the one
person that feeds and takes care of them. It upset me and I
 would like an opinion from some of you if you would not mind. In fact it
bothered me so much that I called his owner today and told him how I felt and
if Norman was ever not wanted or not loved or in the way please send him home.
What do you guys think??? Thanks in advance.
