"Water bottles or baggies filled with water and a few shiny pennies inside
hung around or on the ground in the fly area.

The theory behind it is that the light reflecting off the various facets of the
shiny pennies frightens the flies into thinking there is a lot of activity in
the area. I tried it and it didn't work; maybe there wasn't enough sun.
