Hi Liane, I'm in the same boat as you worrying about my sister and her two kids
who live in Fulshear (west of Houston). No hotels are avialable, the roads are
full and to top it off, we are already having communications problems trying to
reach them both cell and land lines. I just went through this with my folks in
MS.. I'm heartsick over this hurricane. The worst is losing contact and not
knowing..

Is there someone in Oklahoma who might have some room for a family of Houston
evacuees? They do not have any dogs, but 2 teenage kids and a 7 year old.
It's my son Martin Fossland and his family who live right outside of Houston.
Originally he was going to stay, then thought better of it when he heard 165
mph. He was going to Dallas and then changed his mind to go to Oklahoma. He
said
the highways are packed, so wants to wait. I think it's imperative that he
leave
NOW. Please convince him that he'll do it immediately.
