I first joined the GSDCA in 1967 after seeing an old copy of a Review. At
that time there was only one Specialty Club in LA and only one show a year.
I filled out the application from the old Review (without sponsors) and
mailed it in. No problem. I and my wife, Bonnie, were members of the
GSDCA. I am sure I showed for several years at all-breed shows before I met
other members of the GSDCA. I think sponsorships will discourage people
like myself, who had no contact with other GSD owners that were members,
from joining our great Club. But as one of our "great" GSD judges is known
to say when questioned about a placement,"what do I know?" D.D.
