Hi Guys
I have been offline for a few days, so I am just now catching up on emails.
Last week while at her dad's house, Kaitlyn fractured her left femur (yep
the big one) which left it in an "x" shape.
30 hours and lots of morphine later they finally got her into surgery, and
put "Humpty Kaitlyn" back together,
with rods and about 30 staples. No cast which is really scary, because they
want her to be able to flex her knee,
which is also stapled . Three months, no weight bearing of any kind.
I went in to get her day before yesterday, opening her curtains so she can
see the flowers and her horse.
this little fragile girl, all stapled , rodded, and bandaged, sat up and
said "Good Morning Mom....
IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY ISN'T IT?!"
I was in absolute awe. I am completely humbled by her, by her positive
attitude.
Her best buddy Beamerr has kept a close vigil on her, licking toes but
staying about six feet away, just watching, shadowing us.
She astonishes me, she inspires me. She is my hero.
