Great post Bill. We need more of we old gray hairs to encourage these
youngsters. Proud to say I had a hand in a couple of them. Amy Riely and
the Biz Z (Zak Hudspeth) that are now Pros. BTW: They are doing pretty well
too. One of them I am very upset with. She got three RWB's on my bitch
this last weekend in four shows....... Joking Amy, you done good.

I want to let you know that, here on the West Coast we have a very
disturbing trend. This trend is as disturbing as those who only choose to
feed their dogs RAW, as disturbing as those who complain about the cost of
showing dogs, as disturbing as those who complain that the Board only serves
themselves.
We have a FAR BIGGER PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!
We have KIDS showing good dogs and having the unmitigated gall to
WIN!!!!!! A most disturbing trend for gray haired handlers like myself.
This weekend i brought my 16 year old daughter to the show to watch. She
hasn't been to the shows since she was 4 years old. I thought great, she
will see her "OLD Man" do some winning and look good running around the ring
and she would walk away with a new appreciation of "Dad"
Well what she witnessed was Hunter Tank and Summer Khatib, whooping her "Old
Man" on Saturday. She met Hunter on Sunday and said "Oh Yeah, you are the
kid who beat my dad". Now Hunter is a serious young man, he got a big grin
on his face and said slyly "yeah i did".
Then on Saturday, Summer comes to me in specials and asks if i "can help her
out" as she has too many champions to handle. Well excuse MEEEE!
Ofcourse i say this all with tongue firmly planted in cheek.
Congratulations to Summer and Hunter and BTW there are other good juniors
that were there too that i just don't happen to know very well. Job well
done to all of you!!!!
