Our first German/American Champion is about to turn 12. Ch Fairway's Leah v
Nadelwald, ROM, is also German/American. She is sired by GV Max and out of one
of our homebreds out of all import bloodlines.
Her brother just retired from work as an avalanche dog.

It's well to remember that most of us,at the beginning ,all started, and had
nothing but German bred GSDs.. They all were the foundation of what has
evolved. Look back in your National catalogs for all those early GVs & GVXs.
Most
of them were German bred,or first generation.They were gorgeous and sound.
But the German breeding has gone though phases,just as American GSDs have .
So you use the best of each.It's nice that American breeders have a choice.
