I am so far behind in my email! I've told this before... but for the new
folks...
I started in dogs with Goldens and Irish Setters. At the time I lived in GA,
near Stone Mountain.. so my kennel name was Stoneshadow. I subsequently
moved to AZ and it didn't fit. Besides it was really too long. At this time
I lost my last Golden and got involved with Shelties and Smooth Collies. So
I chose the kennel name Benden.. from the Dragonriders of Pern series. I
used that name for a couple of litters and recieved a cease and desist
letter as apparently the name was copywrited. So I came up with Rihadin.
Rihadin came from an old Celtic story (the origin of which escapes me!!) and
was the name of a magic powder that when ignited exploded in a multi colored
cloud. I thought it appropriate for multi colored dogs, LOL! Since then of
course I have added the GSDs. One thing for sure... it is original!

Hey Guys: what fun learning about everyone and how they came about
their kennel names. Over 80 something people responded including those
who responsded privately. I enjoyed going on some peoples web sites and
