There is a ton of it out here on the west coast, we avoid it like the  plague 
in our own kennel. It amazes me that some judges will put this kind of  
problem up, and that any breeder owner can look at a tail that is so dead, it  
should be embalmed (spinal problems) and say "Gee , that looks good".  or 
ignore 
it completely...arrrrgggghhh.  We are seeing it out  here in a particular 
couple of lines in puppies as young as 12  weeks...........it is nauseating.
