Dog Park Publishing Will Donate 15% to SPCA de Montreal! SHOW YOUR SUPPORT! In case you haven't heard, Montreal passed a BSL law, effective October 3rd. SPCA de Montreal has filed a lawsuit opposing this law, but the case will not be heard until October 3rd. If the law goes into effect as is, all pit bulls in shelters will be euthanized. All pit bull bull-type dogs in homes must be registered, spayed or neutered, and wear a muzzle when outside the home--if not, their family dog will be seized and euthanized. This is absolutely devastating news across the board and a step back in time. There are a number of rescues going to Montreal to remove any at risk dogs from the shelters this weekend and many foster homes set up in Canada and the United States. We have talked to these rescues ourselves. All is being coordinated by SPCA de Montreal and they are in need of money. Money for saving these dogs, money for the lawsuit and money for the many people who will need to register their family pets in the coming days.
