Harley earned 22 GCH points in Texas.  6 in Ventura the weekend prior. That 
brings him less than 15 points from his Silver GCH level, if I am calculating 
July correctly (there are only 2 GSD's so far at the Silver level, Stormy and 
Nutmeg), and back into the position of Lifetime #1 GSD in California, to date!  
I was a bit disappointed in not winning a BOB in Houston, because I thought we 
needed the breed points, but, turns out the GCH worked for us once again!  I 
had been aiming to keep him in the top 25 (he is #16 to date, I believe) so he 
would get invited to Eukanuba this year, but, I just found out that he has an 
automatic invitation because of his achieving the Grand Champion Bronze level 
this year.  So,Orlando, Florida, here we come!!  I can stop sweating the breed 
points, and just relax, enjoying showing off my much-loved boy with less 
anxiety!!  I really love this Grand Champion stuff.

I had my final dinner in Texas with Sondra and Greg Abarr at Pappadeaux', my 
new favorite seafood restaurant!!  Was a great end to a great trip. Tomorrow we 
head back home to California.  This has been a most unforgettable 2 weeks in 
Texas.  What a bunch of fantastic, supportive GSD people!   Thank you, all, so 
very much.  I was made to feel at home everywhere I went and by everyone I 
spoke with. So many people, from our breed and from other breeds, made a point 
to come over and compliment Harley.  As I was leaving, and people saw my CA 
license plates, they thanked me for coming!!   I hope to come back here to 
these shows again.  This was a most fun and fantastic show.
